What Diet Works for You
If you have been following my blog, you will note that every so often I state that I am about to embark on a new diet. Over the years I must have tried them all. My latest one is from Bodychef.Com. I have used these before and have to admit I did lose weight with them. They are not the cheapest diet in all honesty but there is no waste.
The idea is that you empty your cupboards of all things nice, in fact all things as the only thing you will need to add is milk.
I am ashamed to say that I went back up to 12st 8lb. The last time I was this weight was when I was pregnant many years ago. I have been quite unwell over the past few months and so have not been active. On top of that, sitting around at home, I was bored and so eat more rubbish and drank more alcohol. None of this was helping me as additional weight just makes my joints more painful due to my arthritis and the dairy just added to the mucus making my asthma worse. The alcohol was also lowering my immune system which made my recovery harder, thus I picked up three consecutive infections.
The first week
I have to admist that at first it was a bit hard as there were not little treats in between meals, no crisps, no chocolate, no chips. The food is delivered twice a week and it is all separated out into days and meals. Each portion comes in its own little container so everything is fresh. I have not been hungry and there has been no waste. You can change parts of the meal plan if there are things that you do not like.
Excitement at feeling better
Although I am still not at my best as I have a chest infection, after six days on the diet I feel less bloated, my trousers are looser and the weight has started to come off. 4.2lbs so far. For me, that is a good weight loss in just under one week. So pleased. From the graph below, you can see that I have quite a bit to go yet, but it’s going in the right direction.
